If golf is your game, you can have a pleasant round or two at the Bowbells Country Club located on Stony Creek just three miles east of town. Creeks, doglegs, rolling hills and trees make this nine hole sand green course challenging enough for the experienced golfer but forgiving enough for the beginner It is a flat course with a creek that comes into play on four holes.
Bowbells Country Club golf course plays to a 9-hole par of 35 and maximum 9-hole distance of 2,843 yards. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.
Bowbells Country Club is a rural nine hole course that uses the honor system (drop box) for payment ($5 for 9-holes).
